A new leak from GSM Israel on March 6th shows some telling screenshots of the U.S. variant of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4, some of which confirm features seen in the leaked 4.2.1 ROM for the Galaxy S3.
The New UI
The NatureUX skin (TouchWiz) has been updated, but it's hard to know what is different based on the screenshot. The settings screen opts for a lighter base compared to the S3, but this could be a possible built-in theming element. You can also see a new tabbed approach to Settings, as evidenced by the top tab bar.
The Specs
While some of the images have been blurred, we can take away a few things:
1.8GHz Quad Core Processor
Seems as if the rumors of Samsung shipping two variants may be true, as this U.S. variant clearly shows a quad core processor, versus the rumored eight core Exynos Octa.
5" Screen
A 5.01" screen pushing FullHD display with 1080x1920 resolution and a very impressive 441ppi pixel density.
Smart Features
We already know of Smart Stay and Smart Rotation.
Smart Pause will pause videos when it detects you have taken your eyes off the screen.
Smart Scroll will automatically scroll to the next page when it detects you have finished reading the current one. This can apply to books (readers), emails, webpages, and much more.
13 Megapixel Camera
As heavily rumored, Samsung will deliver a powerful camera with their flagship device.
So that's what we have for now. More and more is being uncovered about the S4 ahead of the March 14th launch, so stay tuned!
