Change the 5 Icons on the Home Screen

This is the response I got from Samsung support

I apologise for any inconvenience but the removal of option to edit the icons at the bottom of the home screen is an alteration which has been installed in recent versions of the device's firmware and it is the intended design of the interface

Is there a way around this!!!????
